Yesterday, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter, Zahara Jolie-Pitt, turned 3. Zahara is the third of the couples four children, and was adopted from Ethiopia in 2005. Her name, Zahara, means “flower” in Swahili.
The little girl, called “Z” by Brad and Angelina is much different now than when she was first adopted. At the time, Angelina said, “Her skin, you could squeeze it, it stuck together… It was terrifying.”
Angelina said that when Shiloh, Angelina and Brad’s biological daughter came along, Jolie said “Z’s a little jealous because she’s still a little girl.” Yeah, that’s hard.
Anyway, I hope the couple threw the three-year-old a big birthday with all her friends - and her siblings. After all, three is a very big number… when you’re three. And in any case, it deserves a birthday.
