I like Avril Lavigne, I really do. I like her music and her style, and I think she’s beautiful - as does my boyfriend. I also think that it’s a good thing to act one’s age. Part of the reason I like her is I’ve had respect for her - something I’ve never had for Britney Spears or Paris Hilton. However, her New Year’s tantrum is making me reconsider my feelings.
Evidently, the beautiful popstar was supposed to be counting down to the new year at a Miami nightspot, but deejay ‘Lil Jon grabbed his mic first and began the countdown. Avril was heard crying to her husband, Deryck Whibley, “I wanted to do the countdown.”
Sooooo grown up.
I think you’re putting too much faith into the tabloids. Saying that Avril’s reps “couldn’t be reached” is basically flat-out saying “We made this up.” As someone who follows Avril’s every move, I am SURE that this didn’t really happen, especially since there are pictures of her time stamped at midnight, looking very happy and sharing a kiss with her husband.
