Several of Britney Spear’s old friends and former employees have declared a blackout on her new album, including her former bodyguard, makeup artist, and a backup dancer by creating a MySpace. The goal: get others to convince Britney to clean up her act by not buying (her newest album) “Blackout” until she does.
The source explains that they’ve been around Britney a lot, and “We’ve seen her at her best and her worse. We aren’t doing this to be mean. We’re doing this out of concern, for herself and her boys. They need a mother figure right now, and they don’t have that.”
Jive Records hasn’t said anything, and still plans on releasing the album October 30, 2007. “They see she’s in pain and they don’t care,” said the source, explaining that even though she caused problems when she didn’t show up for auditions, claiming she was “sick” while being photographed driving around town, she’s still making money and that’s all they care about.
I guess it’s a good thing that some people really do care about her.
