If you’ve been reading this blog regularly, you’ll know that Amy Winehouse has had some problems that almost rival lately. You also know that at she was nominated for six Grammys and won five of them. Given Amy’s recent problems, drug abuse and what not, should she have won those Grammys? Natalie King Cole says no.
“I don’t think she should have won. I think it sends a bad message to our young people who are trying to get into this business, the ones who are trying to do it right and really trying to keep themselves together. We have to stop rewarding bad behavior.”
She goes on to explain that she thinks Amy is gifted and talented and an amazing perfomer, but “It’s not right fro her to be able to have her cake and eat it, too. She needs to get herself together.”
Some could argue that Amy was in rehab for a short time in an attempt to overcome her problems, once she realized the seriousness of them. But is it too little too late?

Excuse me Ms. Cole, if we used your criteria, good person equals award, who would decide? YOU? Who do you think you are God? I think not. You just show your ignorance by equating trouble with substance abuse with “bad behavior.” In your world, you would decide who is deserving of what and who is not.
