Elizabeth Hasselbeck, spokesperson for “The View” is getting ready to go on maternity leave, as she’s expecting her and (husband) Tim Hasselbeck’s second child. She’s way ahead of the other expecting mommies-to-be, Halle Berry and Jennifer Lopez.
Elizabeth plans to stay on the air until her due date, and then make her good-bye’s the 8th or the 9th. Filling her seat will be a rotating sequence of guest hosts. She plan on taking off 6 weeks for her leave.
In April, a week after Rosie O’Donnel announced that she’d be leaving the show, Elizabeth found a classy way of telling about her own pregnancy. Turning to Rosie, she said, “I figured that we’d be lonely without you, so Tim and I thought we should get busy and maybe make a little cohost.”
