Guess who’s expecting their second child! Matt Damon and (wife) Luciana Bozan. According to Matt’s rep, they’re both really excited. This will be the third child for the family, as Matt and Luciana have an almost two-year-old and Luciana has a daughter, Alexia, from another marriage.

Guess who’s expecting their first child! After trying for some time, Kimora Lee Simmons and (partner) Djimon Hounsou are expecting their first kid as a couple, although Kimora already has two from her marriage to Russel Simmons.

Jamie Spears Paid $2,500 A Week To Help His Daughter

What would it take for you to help your daughter? In my experience, most parents help there kids for free, or maybe a small monthly rent charge. However, Jamie Spears is being paid $2,500 a week to be the conservator to (daughter) Britney Spears’ estate. He’s also allowed to lease one vehicle. The attorney that helped Jamie, Samuel Ingham, who is co-conservator to the estate is being paid $58,000.

Clearly, attorneys must be paid. But a father, paid to care for his daughter’s estate? Who’s paying? Britney? Whether or not it’s “helpful,” it sounds like a bum rap to me.

Britney Spears’ Father Still In Charge Of the Estate

Turns out that Britney Spears’ father, Jamie Spears, is still in charge of her fortune and her estate. His reign, as it were, will continue through July 31, although it was initially supposed to end March 17. However, Britney’s not upset by the continued control of her father.

Not only has Britney been able to visit with her boys several times since Jamie gained control of her estate, but the visits are expected to continue. I guess we’ll see, won’t we?

Patrick Swayze: Diagnosed With Pancreatic Cancer

Dirty Dancing actor, Patrick Swayze, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and, according to his rep, is currently undergoing treatment. Unfortunately, the life expectancy rate for those with pancreatic cancer is six to nine months, and only four percent of patients live longer than five years.

In a statement released by his Patrick’s rep, Patrick’s Doctor, George Fisher, says that Patrick has only a small amount of the disease and that he has so far responded well to treatment, which included a “gastrointestinal procedure”, after which he went home and happy.

Hopefully, Patrick’s battle with cancer will be successful, and we’ll see a lot more of him.

“Idol Gives Back” Charity Event

Do you remember the “Idol Gives Back” event from last year? I remember thinking that it was a good idea, that they raised quite a bit of money from it, and that it’s good that the money goes to people who really need it. I also remember thinking that stars like Paula, Simon and Ryan shouldn’t be allowed to deal with people who need help, as they made disgusted faces and made people feel bad about themselves and the situations they were in. Carrie Underwood, however, a “real person” was great with the kids, playing with them and talking to them, touching their hands and letting them touch her and sit on her lap. It’s amazing what being a “real person” does for you.

But Idol’s giving it another shot and I’m hoping for two things: 1) they find people who know how to work with peope who don’t make millions of dollars to actually show sympathy to people instead of sending people who have never stayed in anything less than a four star hotel to be disgusted by them and 2) the event raises money that can be used to help the people who need it most.

This year, the “Idol Gives Back” event will includee U2’s Bono, Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, Miley Cyrus, Mariah Carey, Eli and Peyton Manning, Fergie, Chris Daughtry (real person - hurray!), Carrie Underwood (real person - hurray!), Annie Lennox, John Legend and Snoop Dog. The episode will air April 9, 2007.

Jeri Ryan Has Baby Girl

Actress Jeri Ryan and her husband, chef Christopher Eme, had a baby girl on Sunday. Though this is the couple’s first child, Jeri has a thirteen-year-old son from a previous relationship.

Jeri stars in the TV show Shark (great show!) and also starred in Star Trek: Voyager (another favorite of mine), and the couple have been married since June.

Congratulations on the new little bundle of joy!

Would You Be The Face of Viagra? Simon Cowell Wouldn’t

Sometimes, the answer to the question: “What would you do for a million dollars?” has a surprising answer. For instance, Simon Cowell turned down $2 million after Glamour magazine asked him to be the face of Viagra. And who can blame him. Simon simply said, “That has to be a f****** insult.”

Simon has a good point. Why would anyone want to be the face of an erectile dysfunction drug? Or for that matter, why would anyone want to be in a commercial where they have an STD. I’ve never actually understood that, and I’m impressed that Simon said no. (Not because I thought he would say yes, but because that’s a good chunk of change to be turning down.)

Can’t wait for this week’s American Idol. Simon may be harsh, but he tells the truth.

Adnan Ghalib Says Brit’s Pregnant, Britney Spears Says She’s Not

Paparazzo Adnan Ghalib has been running around claiming Britney Spears is pregnant with his child. The rumors, which started when they were supposedly looking for a pregnancy test, have been squashed by Britney who says she’s not pregnant.

Good thing, too, because I can hardly imagine that having a third child would put Britney in better light with the judges. In the meantime, a source has said that she has gained weight - because of her change in prescription.

I’m sure Britney’s parents are glad she’s not pregnant. They already have their hands full.
