Halle Berry (who is forty - who knew?), is four months with her first child with (boyfriend) Gabriel Aubry. The gorgeous star is very excited, as she’s been trying to conceive for some time now. On E News she mentioned taking a pregnancy every month, and never seeing a positive. Halle said that when it happened, “Everything stood still. It was probably one of the greatest moments in my life.”

In Halle’s most recent film, “Things We Lost in the Fire,” she plays a widowed mother of two. She says that this film, which comes out in theaters October 19th, 2007 helped in her decision to be a mom, and encouraged her that she could do it. “I think making this movie validated that I needed to be a mom.”

The excited Halle says that she doesn’t want to know the baby’s sex until it’s born. As a result, she’s preparing a “sex-neutral” room with lots of natural colors, browns, creams and the like. Of the baby, she says, “I know it’s going to change our life.”
