“24″ star Kiefer Sutherland has been released following his 48-day jail sentence for drinking and driving. Officer John Balian said Kiefer “was a model prisoner. No problems. He did his work and didn’t complain.” His job: doing laundry. I wonder if he’d done laundry before… most men I know are notoriously bad at that - and he’s a celebrity… in any case, he can do it now.

Kiefer chose to stay in the the Glendale Police Department, instead of the overcrowded Men’s Central Jail, giving him no option but to serve the full 48 days, but he did it, and police say he was “polite and humble” for the duration of his stay.

Due to the Writer’s Strike, there’s no telling when the show will be back on the air as Fox wants the whole “24-hour day” to unfold smoothly and consecutively over the weeks.
