When most people think “Beauty Pageant” they think of composed, lovely ladies. Evidently, that’s not true, as proven by Miss Ingrid Marie Rivera’s experience. Two years ago, Ingrid participated in and was second runner up in another beauty pageant - and so the other contestants felt she was over-qualified.
As a result, the girls were out to get her. And girls fight dirty, not like George Clooney. Ingrid was pepper-sprayed and had to apply ice. It makes me think of the film ‘Mean Girls” where Lindsay Lohan imagines the girls fighting like animals. There was also a bomb threat, and her bag with her clothing was “misplaced”.
Even so, Ingrid came out on top, and is going on to the Miss Universe pageant as the Puerto Rico contestant.. I have to say, I think she deserved it.
