Nicole Kidman’s father, Antony, is not a medical doctor, but a mental health specialist. That doesn’t seem to stop him, though. He’s planning on delivering his baby’s baby, and his wife, Janelle, a trained nurse, is planning on helping. I guess the couple delivered Nicole’s sister’s baby last year, and they expect to have the honor again.
Honestly, I can’t imagine anything more awful. I wouldn’t even want my parents in the delivery room (Mom pouted when I told her that, but she didn’t say anything else), let alone delivering.
The scary thing about the whole thing is: parents worry about their children overly much. Anyone who has a baby, or even someone who has ever babysit, knows that feeling when you haven’t seen your child for three seconds and things seem to quiet. Delivering a baby is big, scary business, and seeing as how Nicole’s miscarried a few times now, you’d think she’d want someone… well, not family. Even if the plan is to have someone on the side, it sounds risky to me. What do you think?
