Dirty Dancing actor, Patrick Swayze, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and, according to his rep, is currently undergoing treatment. Unfortunately, the life expectancy rate for those with pancreatic cancer is six to nine months, and only four percent of patients live longer than five years.

In a statement released by his Patrick’s rep, Patrick’s Doctor, George Fisher, says that Patrick has only a small amount of the disease and that he has so far responded well to treatment, which included a “gastrointestinal procedure”, after which he went home and happy.

Hopefully, Patrick’s battle with cancer will be successful, and we’ll see a lot more of him.
