With the writers strike dragging out longer than most imagined, writers and actors everywhere are taking some hits. Johnny Depp’s most recent film, Shantaram, is the third film to shut down, and 500 CBS writers have also joined the strikes.
But in the face of all the sad stuff, like TV shows ending early, just wait until you hear what George Clooney did. He’s donated $25,000 to help writers who have taken a hard hit from the strike. “While people like myself see this as a forced vacation, a prolonged strike can destroy people who make a living in this industry.”
George, you’re our hero!
